CIVIL ENGINEER I - $78,177 - $117,265 CIVIL ENGINEER II - $84,431- $126,648 Under general guidance of the Capital Improvement and Development Manager, the primary role is to oversee the planning, estimating, design, and construction of the City's facilities and infrastructure improvement projects. This position is also responsible for reviewing the plans of proposed private developments within city limits. Specifically, the engineer reviews plans for public right-of-way, improvements, traffic/transportation, drainage/hydrology, sewer, water, and other public utilities, ensuring the proposed work is in conformance with city codes and professional engineering standards. The individual must have great problem solving and people skills including the ability to listen and communicate clearly and professionally with City Staff, and members of the public.
