Job Description – Civil Construction Project Engineer
Education: Minimum 4-year degree - Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Field Experience: Minimum of 7+ years working in site/civil construction, including 3 years as a lead on major projects. Experience with subgrade, subbase, coarse aggregate, concrete, asphalt, curbing, underground utilities (stormwater, electrical duct banks, communications). Skilled in heavy civil engineering, airfield concrete pavement, and airfield power and lighting.
Clearance and Qualifications: Must possess an active Common Access Card (CAC). Government security background check and drug testing required.
Position Location: Fort Drum, New York
Computer Knowledge: Familiarity with tracking software such as Procore, ProjNet, Suretrak, Ebuilder. Experience with RMS, Excel, Word, Adobe PDFs, Microsoft Projects, Primavera, AutoCAD.
Program Knowledge: Knowledge of USACE EM 385-1-1 and UFC requirements is a plus.
Previous Employment Exposure: US Army, NAVFAC, DOD installations preferred.
Work Duration: Full-time. 5 days/week, 8 hours/day. 80% field work, 20% reporting to project management.
Day-to-Day Construction Responsibilities: Provide services related to site, civil, structural; prepare QA reports, perform site surveys, document inspections, monitor testing, interpret drawings, observe safety compliance, review QC reports, conduct meetings, monitor supply chain, oversee startup and commissioning activities.

Candidate must pass Crawford Consulting Services background check and CLIENT background check for site clearance and ID.
