Subject to executive and/or legislative determination of policy, is responsible for directing the collection, investment, management, and disbursement of revenues and expenditures for the City; performs related duties as required.(May not include all of the duties that may be performed.)Disburses funds on warrant of City Auditor unless otherwise directed by local, state, or federal regulations;• Responsible for daily payment of City obligations by wire and ACH• Management of daily cash flows; cash planning for debt service, payroll, pension and other obligationsEvaluates and modifies collection of City revenues;• Research, identify and implement more efficient methods of cash collection; market banking innovations to City agencies for adoption• Monitor City's balance sheet daily; review funds in suspense for timely deposit to the G/L, cash on-hand, outstanding warrants payable for cash flow projections, unreimbursed returns for collection from City agenciesResponsible for the City's ongoing relationships with banking institutions;• Negotiate contracts• Project owner/manager for all banking services implementations including: merchant on-boarding, third-party integrations, and other banking modernization and enhancement projects• Responsible for problem-solving on behalf of City agencies for all banking services• Monitor collateral sufficiencyResponsible for management of the annual assessment of PCI compliance in collaboration with the Department of Technology;• Facilitate communication between consultant and City merchants• Communicate requirements, obtain documentation, engage resources for problem-resolutionManages the relationship with the City's investment advisor, determines monies available for investment, and monitors investment status;• Reviews and/or prepares reports detailing investment status of City• Responsible for investment policies and procedures as the Chairperson of the Depository Commission and Treasury Investment Board in collaboration with the City Auditor and Finance and Management DirectorActive management of relationships with other City agencies.• Fields daily requests for problem-solving assistance from all City departments and divisionsRecruitment #: 25-0157-V1
