City Recorder - An Appointed Position

An appointed position under the general administrative direction of the Finance Director, performs all recorders functions including records management, custodian of City records, contract administration, noticing, minutes and elections; serves as the election's officer, assists in administering the City's asset management system by managing, directing, coordinating with other departments and overseeing the asset management function under the direction of the Finance Director; and provides complex administrative support to the City Council, City Manager, and Finance Director.

Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or related field, and

Experience: Five (5) years of experience in business administration, public administration or related field. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license. Must be licensed in the State of Utah as a Notary Public or within six (6) months of employment. International Institute of Municipal Clerks - Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) certification required within one year of hire. Certified Records Officer Certification within six months of hire.

Salary: The salary range is $30.37 to $48.59 per hour. Typical hiring range is $30.37 to $39.48 per hour.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. M-TH, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Evenings and some weekends will be required.
