The CIO will manage vendor relations and is responsible for ensuring that vendor-delivered products and projects are on time, within budget and within project specifications.
- Minimum 5 years in senior information technology positions with a focus on application development.
- A strong background with relational databases (MySQL preferred).
- Experience and knowledge with Perl programming.
- In-depth experience in working with multiple and varied platforms and environments such as Solaris and LINUX.
- High-level people management skills including project management, performance management and coaching, staff development and the management of vendor personnel.
- Strong communication and presentation skills that can be directed toward technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to translate highly technical concepts and principles into business oriented language that enables non-technical audiences to understand technical needs, objectives and issues from a value added perspective.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong emphasis on information technology / science combined with extensive combination of technical and management experience (including leadership responsibilities) which may be substituted for the graduate-level degree.
