As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of patients with renal failure as part of a dedicated team. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you'll be responsible for delivering compassionate care and executing essential treatment activities.

Your Role in Patient Care

You will connect directly with patients, ensuring they receive safe, comfortable, and top-quality dialysis treatment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting vital patient statistics before and after treatments.
  • Initiating, monitoring, and terminating dialysis treatments.
  • Obtaining blood samples as per physician orders.

Technical Responsibilities

Your commitment to quality will shine through in the following tasks:

  • Preparing and setting up machines for hemodialysis.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting machines post-treatment.
  • Conducting safety checks on equipment and logging results for quality assurance.

Emphasis on Safety and Compliance

You will adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, and work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse to comply with all policies, procedures, and legal regulations. Participation in staff meetings and ongoing education will be essential to your role.

This position is based at our Adel Clinic, located at 701 N Hutchinson Ave, Adel, GA 31620.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for healthcare and patient care.
  • Previous experience in healthcare—particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA—is highly valued.
  • Comfort with mixing acids and bicarbonate as per protocols.
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

Essential Requirements

  • Completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency, within 8 weeks of hire.
  • CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.
  • Obtain Patient Care Technician certification from a state or national program within 18 months post-hire, maintaining good standing thereafter.
