SCO Family of Services is currently seeking Child Care Workers/Residential Counselor to join our team in our Madonna Heights, Residential Treatment Facility in Dix Hills! These therapeutic staff supervise and provide support to adolescent, young adult Females (12-22) diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), while maintaining an environment that is trauma-informed, safe, secure, healthy, orderly and nurturing. The goal of the program is to create a platform in which clients can transition appropriately to lower levels of care, or ideally, reintegrate to the family home without dependency of institutionalized care.

**As a Child Care Worker, you will:**

* Assists with ADL routines including house jobs, room chores, wake-ups, and lights-out, laundry, cooking, etc.

* Supervises individual and group activities such as trips to the community, including parks, beaches, concerts, sporting events, leisure/ wellness activities, etc.

* Upholds all elements of behavior management system, including the programs phase-oriented treatment approach, conflict resolutions/ mediations, and a repertoire of therapeutic confrontation techniques and trauma-informed responses.

* Attends to the educational/ vocational, health/ wellness, recreational and emotional/ mental health needs of our clients.

* Models positive behavior at all times while confronting negative behavior through a trauma-responsive approach

* Commits to the mission of the program by supporting the creation of a safe, orderly, and caring environment.

**Qualifications**

**Ideal Candidates must possess:**

* High School Diploma or GED required

* Experience working with adolescents (preferred)

* A strong belief in others ability to grow and change while recovering form complex traumas

* Clean and Valid drivers license
