Job Purpose
This Senior Executive role as Chief Technology & Innovation Officer will architect and execute a technology-driven transformation of our rural health platform, blending robotics, AI diagnostics and regenerative medicine to rival leading urban academic centers.
As CTIO, you will define and own our clinical-technology and innovation strategy end-to-end. You will oversee the research, development and deployment of advanced imaging AI, surgical-robot platforms, AI-powered virtual care and regenerative-medicine service lines. Partnering closely with clinicians, operations and external research institutions, you will translate clinical needs into regulated, market-ready products and services, while ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance and patient experience. Reporting to the GM/CEO with a dotted line to the Chief Medical Officer, you will combine a hands-on technical mindset with strategic leadership to build a world-class, integrated rural-health center.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Technology Road mappingArchitect the full stack - from digital front door and open-source EHR interoperability to imaging-AI pipelines and surgical-robot control systems, aligned with clinical priorities and business objectives.
- Robotic & Imaging ProgramsStand up next-generation MRI, focused-ultrasound and robotic-surgery platforms. Lead vendor selection, clinical trials, validation studies and phased rollouts into operating rooms and outpatient suites.
- Digital Health & Remote CareLaunch and scale AI-enabled virtual-care platforms and remote-patient-monitoring initiatives tailored to dispersed rural populations. Integrate wearables, telemedicine workflows and predictive-analytics dashboards for proactive care management.
- Tech-Enabled Service Line IncubationIncubate cash-pay offerings, such as ketamine therapy, TMS and precision-wellness programs by defining clinical protocols, patient pathways and performance metrics. Drive commercialization through pilot programs and reimbursement strategies.
- Regulatory, Quality & Compliance LeadershipEnsure all innovations and deployed systems meet or exceed FDA, HIPAA and CMS requirements. Establish AI/ML governance, quality-management processes and risk-assessment frameworks across the product lifecycle.
- Innovation Portfolio & Partnership ManagementOversee an innovation portfolio: ideation pipelines, academic collaborations, startup partnerships and clinical pilot programs. Translate emerging scientific discoveries into viable pilot studies and commercial deployments. Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, wellness tech, and human-computer interaction.
- Change Management & Stakeholder EnablementLead cross-functional change efforts- engaging clinicians, administrators and IT teams - to drive adoption of new technologies. Develop training curricula, communication plans and success metrics to ensure sustained utilization.

- Regulated-Product Expertise: Proven ability to shepherd Class II/III medical devices and regulated software through FDA clearance and clinical adoption.
- Digital-Health & AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience with imaging-AI, machine-learning pipelines, telehealth platforms and remote-monitoring architectures.
- Robotics & Automation Knowledge: Familiarity with surgical-robot control systems, device integration and OR-safety protocols.

- Change Leadership & Communication: Excellent at aligning diverse stakeholders, articulating complex tech concepts in clinical terms and driving culture change.
- Partnership & Vendor Management: Skilled at negotiating research collaborations, vendor contracts and grant-funded projects.
- Regulatory & Quality Governance: Strong grasp of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, HIPAA requirements and healthcare–IT security best practices.
Education / Experience
- Advanced degree in a clinical, engineering or informatics discipline (MD-MBA, PhD, MSCS or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years leading technology and innovation in an academic medical center, med-device manufacturer or digital-health scale-up.
- Demonstrated success introducing Class II/III devices or regulated software into clinical practice.
- Proven leadership building and managing large technical teams, complex projects and multi-million-dollar R&D portfolios.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage C-suite and clinical stakeholders alike.
- Proven experience in a CTO or senior tech leadership role (startup or growth-stage)
- Familiarity with regulatory environments for wellness/medtech products
The base salary for this position has a range of $300 up to $340k per year at the commencement of employment. Any offer is determined by overall experience and performance during the interview process. This is only part of the total compensation package.
