Chief Structural Engineer – Heavy Industry / Bulk Material Handling

Hybrid - Pittsburgh

Join a global engineering leader expanding their Bulk Material Handling division across North America. You'll design and analyze large-scale steel structures — from car dumpers to conveyors — for projects worth $500K–$20M. Work with teams across the U.S., South America, Australia, and Asia.

What you'll do:

• Structural design & FEA for heavy industrial equipment
• Develop fabrication drawings, specs & calculations
• Ensure compliance with fatigue, seismic, and safety codes
• Collaborate with international engineering & manufacturing teams

What you'll bring:

• 4+ years' structural design experience in heavy industry / mining / ports / BMH
• Knowledge of steel structures & design codes (AISC, AWS, AS)
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Inventor, MathCAD, Ansys (or similar)
• A collaborative, problem-solving mindset
