Job Summary
The Chief Psychological Officer (CPO) leads the team of clinical psychologists responsible for complex analyses related to psychological evaluation and assessment of applicants and employees to ensure they are psychologically fit for duty and suitable to hold a security clearance.

- Salary: GS-15, $167,603.00 – $195,200.00 per year

Key Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
- Some travel may be required

Major Duties
- Program management of a broad range of leadership areas including a major FBI clinical program and direct oversight of a team of clinical psychologists
- Ensure timely execution of goals and objectives while ensuring activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and DOJ/FBI guidelines
- Serve as final authority on clinical psychological matters such as employment recommendations and resolution of controversial or sensitive cases
- Develop and maintain relationships with academic institutions for research collaboration and consultation

Specialized Experience (SE)
GS-15: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level. SE includes:
- Experience interpreting ethical principles applicable to psychology practice
- Experience researching and solving issues in mental health by consulting internal and external entities on broad, complex, and sensitive issues
- Experience diagnosing and treating alcohol/drug use disorders and individuals with social-emotional difficulties affecting occupational performance
Education
All degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows: a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. Completion of all requirements for a doctoral degree directly related to clinical psychology is required.
