Regional CPA firm seeking COO to oversee the firm's operations, policies, and procedures supporting the delivery of efficient, quality service to clients. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO must demonstrate leadership and manage diverse business operations with the goal of sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures
  • Oversee daily operations and administrative processes of all departments
  • Make key operating decisions and secure management's buy-in
  • Lead internal firm communications
  • Ensure optimal staff utilization and development in delivering quality client service
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Lead employees to encourage high performance, dedication, and retention
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing firm data and metrics
  • Manage office activities and vendor relationships
  • Resolve issues and conflicts as they occur

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as COO for a CPA firm
  • Understanding of the needs of various business functions such as HR, IT, marketing, accounting, office services, and client service delivery
  • Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and implement strategic initiatives and business development
  • Aptitude for decision-making and problem-solving
  • Positive attitude with motivational skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to integrate required technology
