Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)Location: New York, NYCompany: A leading Financial Technology company in New York is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our dynamic team. We are committed to revolutionizing the financial industry through innovative technology solutions, and we need a dedicated leader to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.Salary Range: $250,000 - $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience.Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the company's information security program, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks to the organization's data, systems, and infrastructure. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including but not limited to PCI DSS, GDPR, and industry-specific requirements. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and emerging threats to maintain compliance posture.
  • Security Operations: Lead a team of security professionals responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents and threats. Implement and manage security technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan to effectively address security incidents and breaches. Lead incident response efforts, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties as necessary, and conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and improve response procedures.
  • Security Awareness: Promote a culture of security awareness and education throughout the organization. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees understand their roles and responsibilities in safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate the security posture of third-party vendors and service providers. Establish security requirements for vendor contracts and oversee vendor risk assessments to ensure the protection of company assets.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the information security budget, allocating resources effectively to support strategic initiatives and operational needs.
  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Prior experience in the financial services or FinTech industry strongly preferred.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of building and leading high-performing security teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
