Chief Information Officer
Metro is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the next Chief Information Officer (CIO). The CIO provides strategic leadership and executive oversight of the information technology and records management (IT) department, guiding the vision, direction and overall management of IT services, systems and infrastructure. Specifically, the CIO leads a team responsible for Metro-wide enterprise services, application support, cybersecurity and telecommunication services. A key focus of this role is identifying opportunities for innovation, evaluating emerging technologies and implementing systems that enhance operational efficiency, service quality and organizational effectiveness.
The CIO is responsible for establishing departmental goals and objectives aligned with organizational priorities and ensuring the effective delivery of technology solutions that support both internal operations and public-facing services. The position leads the development and execution of comprehensive work plans, oversees the implementation of policies and procedures and manages a combination of internal staff and outsourced service providers to achieve high performance and continuous improvement. The CIO provides critical administrative direction across all IT programs and services, supports department managers in recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team and fosters a culture of service excellence and accountability.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for the chief information officer is $193,488 to $246,945 and will depend on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
