The Chief Information Officer is the senior leader and chief architect of the Universitys technology environment, providing both strategic vision and operational execution. This role blends executive-level planning with hands-on technical leadership to ensure the reliability, security, and advancement of all campus technology resources. The CIO oversees a comprehensive portfolio including on-premises Windows server environments, enterprise wired and wireless networks built on Cisco and Extreme infrastructure, Fortinet security appliances, and a variety of mission-critical cloud platforms. This position is directly responsible for cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance (NIST 800-series, HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA), and ensuring that IT supports the Universitys academic, administrative, and research objectives.
