- Develop and execute the firm's enterprise IT strategy, aligning technology investments with business goals across portfolio management, trading, risk, compliance, distribution, and client service.
- Oversee application development, IT infrastructure, enterprise data platforms, DevOps, architecture, and IT support functions.
- Lead modernization of core asset management platforms, including portfolio accounting, order/execution management (OMS/EMS), client reporting, and performance systems.
- Drive adoption of cloud technologies, automation, and platform rationalization to enhance agility, reduce operational complexity, and ensure scalability.
- Partner with investment, operations, risk, and distribution teams to deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision-making, analytics, and client experience.
- Manage key vendor and technology partner relationships, including contract negotiation, service delivery oversight, and solution evaluation.
- Transform IT delivery models through Agile and DevOps practices to accelerate time-to-market and increase operational resilience.
- Ensure operational excellence through rigorous change, incident, and service management processes aligned with ITIL or similar frameworks.
- Build and mentor a high-performing IT organization grounded in accountability, technical excellence, and innovation.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, cloud, data fabric) and their application in the investment management ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with the CISO to ensure security, compliance, and data governance are integral to all technology initiatives, without directly owning the InfoSec function.
- 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior/executive technology role within asset management, investment management, hedge funds, or capital markets.
- Proven track record overseeing complex IT environments, including the modernization of legacy systems in regulated, data-intensive industries.
- Deep understanding of asset management operations, including front-office (OMS/EMS), portfolio analytics, risk, data management, and client reporting platforms.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), enterprise integration, automation, and IT service delivery.
- Experience with data architecture, analytics platforms, and enabling real-time and batch data flows across investment and operational functions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets, global teams, and technology/vendor ecosystems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills at the executive level.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
