About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client's executive leadership team. The CFO will oversee all financial activities of a holding company and its subsidiaries, ensuring strong financial stewardship, optimal capital allocation, and rigorous performance management.

This role requires a leader with a proven track record in financial operations, investment analysis, and cross-industry financial integration. The CFO will play a critical role in guiding the company's growth, profitability, and risk management strategies.

Position Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's short- and long-term growth goals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and board on capital structure, investments, and performance optimization.
  • Lead financial due diligence and integration of acquisitions across multiple industries.

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions, including consolidation of financials across subsidiaries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.

Tax Strategy & Compliance

  • Lead tax planning and structuring across all entities, including U.S. and international tax considerations (e.g., Egypt operations)
  • Oversee coordination with external tax advisors and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Audit Readiness & Governance

  • Lead audit preparations, SOC compliance, and financial reporting for licensed entities
  • Implement internal controls, policies, and compliance protocols across all business line

Modeling & Forecasting:

  • Create and manage detailed financial models, pro formas, and forecasts for operating companies and new investment opportunities.
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, scenario planning, and variance analysis across portfolio companies.
  • Evaluate and report on the financial health of each subsidiary and the consolidated entity.

Balance Sheet & Asset Management:

  • Maintain a robust understanding of accrual and modified accrual accounting principles.
  • Oversee proper classification, booking, and valuation of fixed and intangible assets.
  • Optimize balance sheet structure to improve return on invested capital.

Banking, Lending & Capital Markets:

  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions.
  • Lead capital raising efforts including debt and equity financing, working closely with investment partners and advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with loan covenants, reporting requirements, and credit facilities.

Data & Financial Analytics:

  • Design and implement financial dashboards and KPI reporting systems across subsidiaries.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive decision-making, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with operational leaders to analyze cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin improvement opportunities.

Business Automation & Technology Integration

  • Partner closely with internal IT and data teams to drive business automation initiatives that streamline financial operations, reduce manual effort, and improve data integrity across entities.
  • Collaborate with IT in the design and deployment of centralized data infrastructure solutions, including data lakes (e.g., Snowflake), pipelines, and reporting platforms.
  • Evaluate and implement automation tools and integrations that enhance intercompany reporting, working capital visibility, and consolidated dashboards.
  • Ensure finance systems and data sources are securely structured and optimized for scalability, audit-readiness, and actionable insights.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power BI, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) is required; familiarity with scripting, macros, or low-code automation (e.g., Power Automate) is a plus.
  • Champion a culture of digital innovation across finance and operations by identifying bottlenecks, recommending solutions, and leading cross-functional automation projects.

Investment Banking & M&A Support:

  • Assist in evaluating M&A targets, performing valuation analysis, structuring deals, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Prepare investment materials and financial packages for internal and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team across multiple entities and geographies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and financial discipline.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in progressively senior financial leadership roles, preferably across multiple industries.
  • Industry Expertise: Prior experience in real estate, financial services (debt or collections), and/or BPO preferred.
  • Demonstrated mastery of GAAP accounting, financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems; QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other multi-entity platforms a plus.
  • Strong understanding of banking relationships, debt instruments, and capital markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and hands-on environment.
