Our client, a trailblazing Federally Qualified Health Center revolutionizing value-based care in underserved communities, is seeking a dynamic CFO to drive its mission forward.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees the financial management and operations of the Health Center. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient accounting practices, preparing financial statements, regulatory reporting, and overseeing budgeting and financial planning. The CFO also manages grants and contracts, enhances operational efficiency through technology, and supervises the fiscal office staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain comprehensive and systematic financial records for the Health Center.
  • Serve as a strategic leader and business partner, capable of building productive teams and demonstrating creative thinking.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all transactions, including requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, payroll records, and payment vouchers.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements, verify balances, and record cash receipts.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, including analysis and management reports for the CEO.
  • Forecast revenue and expenditure trends.
  • Prepare financial reports for grant agencies and funding sources as required.
  • Oversee business office functions such as registration, cash management, Medicaid and Medicare billing, and statistical reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations governing grant disbursements and federal cost accounting standards.
  • Supervise fiscal office staff, including performance monitoring, evaluations, and training.
  • Attend Board meetings and present financial updates as requested by the CEO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with updates to the job description for permanent responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience, ideally in healthcare and FQHC settings.
