About the Role

The Company is in search of a President/CEO to lead as the chief advocate for affordable housing policies and programs at local, state, and federal levels. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in the affordable housing sector, particularly within the context of New York State and New York City. Responsibilities include overseeing the organization's programs, formulating and implementing strategic plans, managing fundraising activities, and serving as the public face of the organization. The role demands a dynamic individual with superior organizational and leadership skills, a proven track record in intergovernmental relations, and the ability to work with senior government officials and legislative bodies to drive policy and legislative action. Candidates for this role at The Company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in community development and affordable housing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and an advanced degree is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a results-proven track record, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and lead a top-notch workforce. They must be adept at strategic thinking, have a high level of business acumen, and be able to balance the delivery of programs with budgetary considerations. The role also requires the capacity to develop and empower leaders, enforce accountability, and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
