Summary: Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, this position directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within Unicoi State Park & Lodge by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Functions:
- Plan and implement engineering programs, including defining project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements.
- Develop and maintain schedules and budgets for engineering projects.
- Provide reports on project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Control expenditures within project budgets.
- Identify staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with organizational managers.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all building equipment and public areas, including staff training.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Purchase parts, supplies, tools, and equipment related to engineering.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment.
- Monitor staff performance, ensuring procedures meet department standards, and address deficiencies.
- Authorize requests for leave, schedule changes, overtime, etc.
- Approve bills, invoices, statements, and budget data.
- Follow up on projects and assignments from the General Manager.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Keep records of work, operating statistics, costs, and maintenance.
- Oversee the Loss Prevention program and collaborate with third shift personnel to ensure safety and security.
- Maintain building security, including lock and key control.
- Assist in emergencies to protect guests and staff, and preserve building systems, acting swiftly to restore normal operations.
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed and updated as needed.
- Assist the Safety Committee in all related activities.
