• Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, communicate openly, and recommend discipline or termination when appropriate
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments
• Respond courteously to all guest questions, complaints, or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction
• Communicate with hotel department heads regarding maintenance needs and ensure timely responses
• Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; complete maintenance request forms and logs
• Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal
• Maintain franchise standards and follow up on inspection deficiencies
• Coordinate compliance with service contracts
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance and room care programs
• Maintain engineering department standards
• Assist the General Manager with annual Capital Plan development
• Participate in Safety Plan and energy efficiency initiatives
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to staff
• Ensure regular attendance and availability to work
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Prior hotel management and supervisory experience required
