Here is what you will be doing each day:
- Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, communicate openly, and recommend discipline or termination when appropriate
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment throughout the hotel
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments
- Respond courteously to all guest questions, complaints, or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction
- Communicate with hotel department heads regarding maintenance needs and ensure timely responses
- Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; complete maintenance request forms and logs
- Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal
- Maintain franchise standards and follow up on inspection deficiencies
- Coordinate compliance with service contracts
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance and room care programs
- Maintain engineering department standards
- Assist the General Manager with annual Capital Plan development
- Participate in Safety Plan and energy efficiency initiatives
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to staff
- Ensure regular attendance and availability to work
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Prior hotel management and supervisory experience required
