Summary : This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide deposit growth through strategic oversight of Retail Banking, Private Banking, Small Business, and Business Banking. This role leads the development and execution of integrated strategies to attract, grow, and retain deposit relationships across diverse client segments. With a strong focus on innovation, market responsiveness, and client-centric solutions, this position partners with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable deposit initiatives, optimize product performance, and ensure alignment with the organization's long-term growth objectives and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Leads the strategic direction and execution of deposit growth initiatives across Retail Banking, Private Banking, Small Business, and Business Banking, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and market opportunities.
  • Oversees the performance, profitability, and operational effectiveness of the Retail Banking network, including branch optimization, staffing strategies, sales execution, and service delivery.
  • Develops and implements multi-channel strategies to attract, grow, and retain core deposit relationships, leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and customer segmentation.
  • Champions a customer-centric culture by driving innovation in retail banking products, services, and experiences that meet evolving consumer expectations and enhance client loyalty.
  • Provides executive leadership to the Private Banking team, ensuring high-touch service delivery and tailored financial solutions for affluent and high-net-worth clients.
  • Directs the full lifecycle of deposit products, including ideation, design, development, enhancement, and rationalization, ensuring offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with profitability goals.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Digital, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure successful product launches, regulatory adherence, and operational readiness.
  • Guides the development of targeted marketing campaigns, promotional strategies, and financial wellness initiatives to increase wallet share and deepen client relationships.
  • Utilizes performance metrics and KPIs to monitor and optimize deposit growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency across all banking segments.
  • Conducts ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer behaviors, and product opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Serves as a senior relationship manager for key clients and centers of influence, reinforcing the bank's reputation as a trusted financial partner and advisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation Disclosure :

The base pay range for this role is available upon request, in accordance with California's Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and alignment with internal equity.

Education and / or Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years of well-rounded experience in deposit products, lending, lending principles and operations in a bank.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales and the financial service needs of depository relationships.
  • Must exhibit a solid awareness of current financial industry issues.
  • Must demonstrate strong and effective leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be instrumental in maintaining effective teamwork among both peers and subordinates.
  • Must have advanced written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
