Chicagoland Occupational Medicine Position
New Occupational Medicine opportunity near Chicago, Illinois.
Healthcare System has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Board-Certified Occupational Health Physician to provide Medical Directorship over a fast-growing 5-county program in Illinois. Candidate must hold a current DOT and MRO certification. The position will be primarily based out of the main location, but will also encompass regular clinic schedules at offsite locations. In addition, the position will allow for a flexible schedule to conduct tours at client locations, participate in community outreach and promote the program. As Medical Director and champion over the Occupational Health program, the position will also provide Collaborate Agreements to partner with mid-level providers practicing occupational medicine and provide them with leadership, direction, education and training. As part of a large health system, the candidate will provide clinical expertise for campus employees, external employers, insurers and TPA customers.
License/Education Requirements:
Licensed to practice medicine pursuant to the Medical Practice Act of the State of IllinoisMD or DO degreeBoard certification in Occupational HealthMedical Review Officer (MRO) certification5-8 years experience in occupational medicine preferredRequirements/Responsibilities:
Collaborative/Supervising provider for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners (mid-level) providing occupational health servicesProvide leadership, direction, coordination and training for mid-level providers and physicians providing occupational health services at their sitesMedical Director and administrative services over the Occupational Health program and the Health champion for the OrganizationAssume responsibilities for all of Medical Center's Employee Health programs and pre-employment requirementsAssume MRO responsibilities for the ProgramActive involvement and coverage with off-site Program Health client locationsServe on committees of Medical Group and Medical Center or its medical staffParticipate in community outreach and conduct marketing activities to promote Program Health including but not limited to public presentations regarding Program Health topics, during or around normal business hoursConduct worksite evaluations and tours for current and prospective clientsEngaged communication with clients on work status, patient updates, and general correspondencesFull knowledge and compliance of OSHA guidelinesSet and review policy & procedures and guidelines surrounding review of wellness labs and initiatives for the REACH program and other corporate clientsDevelop and introduce approved standards and guidelines for occupational medicine and programsOversee staff functions relating to clinic processes, wellness lab review and follow upAssist with the development and implementation of an occupational health strategic plan that promotes quality and performance improvement#J-18808-Ljbffr
