Chenega Professional Services SBU is looking for a Proposal Writer responsible for authoring and editing proposal content in response to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for current and potential clients. The Proposal Writer collaborates with stakeholders to develop proposal sections, including corporate and executive summaries, past performance volumes, technical approaches, management plans, and other related documents.

Responsibilities
- Research information across various areas and describe principles, operations, and concepts clearly and simply.
- Work with team members to develop storyboards, outlines, win themes, approaches, methodologies, and strategies.
- Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, and business development teams to gather, tailor, and translate content for proposals, ensuring compliance with solicitation documentation.
- Rewrite text for clarity, consistency, and compliance within established deadlines.
- Coordinate efforts of multiple contributors.
- Create and utilize proposal templates following Chenega standards.
- Write original content and edit technical data prepared by others.
- Maintain documentation within SharePoint for future reference.
- Ensure proposals are compliant, well-formatted, and aligned with standards.
- Complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field.0-2 years of experience as a technical writer.Experience in authoring proposals in response to government RFPs, RFIs, or RFQs, especially in federal contracting or government environments, preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent grammar and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to independently author proposal sections with a focus on compliance, quality, and timeliness.Strong editing and proofreading skills, with knowledge of proposal best practices.Creativity, flexibility, organization, and effective time management.Adherence to proposal development deadlines and internal processes.Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.Experience collaborating on projects like white papers and marketing content.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including document structure, styles, templates, charts, and graphs; experience with Microsoft Teams.Knowledge of federal government contracting.Additional Information
