Job Summary
The Polymer Chemist will be responsible for:
- Conducting polymer testing, analysis, and providing accurate and concise reports in support of new product development, cost out efforts, compliance, manufacturing process support, and commercial business support.
- Conducting laboratory activities as outlined in the laboratory's quality management system (QMS) which includes testing to industry standards such as UL, CSA, ASTM, SAE, and ISO
- Analyzing results, communicating nonconformities to laboratory management, and providing accurate and concise reports in support of new product development, cost out efforts, compliance, manufacturing process support, and commercial business support.
- Assisting with managing laboratory Calibration maintenance and PM programs.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree - Science or Engineering related
- 1+ years experience preferred
- Able to read and interpret technical standards, prepare samples, and perform tests according to the prescribed standards.
- Must have strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Must communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be hands-on and capable of working well with limited oversight
