Chehalis-Assistant Drama Director (WFW) 2025-26 - SYLVANIA : Job Details

This posting is for the Assistant Drama Director position at W.F. West High School for the 2025-26 school year. This position follows the Extra-Curricular Activities Salary Schedule and is paid $1,000 per production per year. The season is anticipated to start September 1, 2025 and end December 31, 2025.

Description:

This position is responsible for the technical aspects of each production to include:

• Set Design
• Set Construction
• Set Painting
• Props

Performance Responsibilities:

• Attend planning meeting(s) as coordinated by the Director of Theatre
• Oversee set design, set construction, set painting and props
• Organize and supervise crew and crew activities during rehearsals and performances
• Maintain regular communication with the Director of Theatre
• Uphold safety expectations and assist in the supervision of students
• Complete work by due dates
• Work with the Director of Theatre to strike the set
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prior job related experience in a theatre setting working on the building/gathering of sets and props
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

Compensation and Benefits:

The District complies with State Law regarding SEBB (School Employee Benefits Board eligibility and benefits. This position is not anticipated to meet the SEBB eligibility requirements.
