Successful candidates should have 5+ years of automobile dealership service management experience. We are seeking an innovative, hard-working, honest, and personable Service Manager who can excel by optimizing profitability and customer satisfaction. The candidate must be able to manage all facets of the department and must be willing to stay abreast of industry changes.

The Service Manager will guide an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records. Ensures that the daily inventory of technicians' time is consistently sold to service customers. Directs the dealership service departments' quality control efforts, ensuring that repairs to customers' cars have been completed correctly and that vehicles are returned to customers in the proper condition.

Essential Duties:

  • Understands, establishes, and assigns goals and objectives to your department and strives to meet them
  • Monitoring and controlling the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveys
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc
  • Learns, understands, and ensures compliance with the manufacturer's warranty and policy procedures
  • Directing and scheduling all department employees
  • Monitoring technicians' productivity reports and corresponding payroll records
  • Maintains high-quality service, repairs, and minimizes comebacks. Conducts frequent spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
  • Oversees facility maintenance, work areas, and ensures that customer touch points remain clean
  • Ensures the proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools
  • Ensures that customers' service files are up-to-date and readily available for reference
