This unique dual role combines the oversight of nursing unit operations with responsibility for infection prevention and control throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is committed to quality care, regulatory compliance, and resident safety.ResponsibilitiesAs Unit Manager, you will:
  • Supervise day-to-day nursing unit operations, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with care plans.
  • Support and mentor nursing staff, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and staff evaluations.
As Infection Preventionist, you will:
  • Lead the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze infection data to identify trends.
  • Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention practices.
  • Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations.
  • Coordinate outbreak response and corrective action plans.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), current [State] license required.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care/skilled nursing preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention practices; CIC certification or willingness to obtain training.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
