The Charge Nurse is a vital leader responsible for overseeing staff, ensuring alignment with the center's mission, vision, and operational goals. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who promotes efficiency, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, and upholds exceptional patient care standards. The Charge Nurse supports daily operations, manages clinical staff, collaborates with physicians and senior leadership, and occasionally provides direct patient care as needed.
Required Skills
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee nursing staff
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Monitor and manage department budgets and resources effectively.
Collaborate with physicians and administration to improve workflows and patient outcomes.
Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing staff development.
Utilize continuous improvement practices to enhance patient and employee satisfaction.
Step in as a staff registered nurse when clinical needs arise.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Active RN license in the State of Colorado.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum two (2) years of surgery management experience, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care, with an emphasis on urology.
