Chaplain- As needed/On Call - UnityPoint Health : Job Details

Provides spiritual assessments, emotional support, crisis intervention, grief ministry, and end-of-life care to patients and families. Collaborates with hospital staff to address patients' spiritual care needs and ensure consistent on-call coverage. Leads or assists with liturgical services, worship, and religious rites as appropriate. Engages in professional development, hospital in-service programs, and relevant community education efforts. Builds and maintains relationships with local clergy and faith communities to support holistic patient care. Participates in trauma responses and emergency codes as assigned. Qualifications. Education: College graduate. Seminary or equivalent theological/ministerial education. 4 Units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred. Experience:Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
