Our client, a leader in the insurance industry, is looking to hire a skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a high-leverage, high-visibility executive role within an established and profitable carrier. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be responsible for financial close, regulatory reporting, FP&A, corporate strategy, treasury and taxation. Only proven leaders with a track record of progressive responsibility in the insurance sector will be considered.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance department, ensuring that strategic and operational financial goals are met.
- Manage and oversee the company's financial operations including treasury functions, liquidity forecasting, and capital structure planning.
- Ensure compliance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) regulatory reporting requirements for property and casualty insurance.
- Develop and implement finance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management and to reduce financial risk.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial reports to the company stakeholders.
Key Skills Required:
- Required: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management and/or related fields.
- Required: 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, with increasing scope and impact in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, financial systems, treasury and taxation.
- Preferred: Financial management experience within the property and casualty insurance industry.
- Beneficial: MBA, Masters in Finance and/or relevant designations (e.g., a CPA, CMA or CFA).
