As a CST, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients, while upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement.Certified Surgical Technologist at West Chester Surgical SuitesUnder the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the CST scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.Preferred Certifications
- Surgical Assistant (SA) or First Assistant (FA) certifications preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Must have experience scrubbing total joint cases.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- CST certification required (or ability to obtain if required by state).
- We will also consider RNs with scrubbing experience for this role.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience in orthopedic surgeries strongly preferred.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed.
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.
