Certified Recovery Peer Advocate - SBH Health System Bronx : Job Details

The primary function of the Certified Recovery Peer Advocate is to facilitate outreach with individuals currently in a program or considering treatment. The CPRA connects patients to community- based recovery supports consistent with treatment, recovery, and discharge plans. CPRA duties include: - Non clinical crisis support - Educating program participants about various modes of recovery - Accompanying patients to medical appointments - Conducting home visits - Raising awareness of existing social and other support services - Assisting patients with applying for benefits - Works in collaboration with CASAC to support treatment adherence New York State Recovery Peer Advocate Certificate- required High school diploma or GED...Recovery, Advocate, Peer, Certified, Healthcare
