Certified Medical Assistant - Work Center, Lock Haven - University of Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Attends routine meetings with staff to communicate procedural changes to improve service quality and patient safety. Participates in implementation of department goals, processes and procedures. Assists with orientation of new staff members. Relay instructions and education to patients per provider's instruction. Document patient information into the medical record and adhere to all confidentiality requirements and policies. Works directly with the manager to identify opportunities for improvement regarding clinical/nonclinical functions, infection control procedures. Serves as an office super user of EPIC Care as assigned. Must attend competency training and be responsible and demonstrate proficiency in all practice category specific tasks from training. Includes but not limited to taking vital signs, medication and vaccine administration and passing medication test, CLIA testing collection of labs, TB skin testing, wound care and dressing change and other specific clinical functions ...Medical Assistant, Medical, Certified, Assistant, Healthcare, Patient
