The Certified Medical Assistant is trained to provide care in the clinic setting to patients under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse. Based on the needs of the department, responsibilities are a combination of providing direct patient care and technical assistance to the nurse and performing a variety of computer, clerical, scheduling, and supply functions as necessary for the operation of the clinic. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Incumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation: Assists in the collection of assessment data, such as vital signs and intake/output information.
