Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Staten Island, NY 10314

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9am -5 pm

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable Contract)

Hourly Rate: $20.50/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Staten Island, NY 10314 for an 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role may require floating to other sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and nurses in providing patient care

Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, patient histories, and preparing patients for exams

Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines

Knowledge of electronic medical record or billing systems preferred, but not required

Administer basic medical procedures as directed

Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC EMR system

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

Medical Assistant Certification

3 years of experience working as a medical assistant

Ability to float to nearby other location locations if necessary
