JOB Summary: Provides evaluations and develops effective treatment plans to restore, maintain, or prevent decline of athlete function by planning and administering medically prescribed athletic training services in accordance with federal, state, and professional standards governing the hospital. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Minimum of clinical hours required by the NATA-BOC for Certification. TRAINING & EDUCATION NEEDED: Certified as an Athletic Trainer by the NATA-BOC. Hold current licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Nebraska. BLS certification required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable of performing the duties of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Mobility (includes walking, good balance), reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling, fine hand coordination, ability to read and write, ability to see and hear, ability to communicate with athletes, family members, and personnel; and ability to remain calm under stress. Must possess problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must possess good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to athletes, athlete's family members, and hospital staff.
