Certified Athletic Director – Sports Medicine

Location: Marshall, MI

Start Date: 9/8/2025

Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule: Full-time, Days (40 hrs/week, may vary with sports schedule)

Weekend Requirements: Coverage required based on sports schedule

Job Summary:

Seeking a Certified Athletic Director with a background in Sports Medicine to support student-athletes in a local school district. The role focuses on injury prevention, evaluation and diagnosis, emergency care, rehabilitation, and overall wellness. You will collaborate with students, parents, coaches, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and ensure athlete safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion, clinical evaluation, emergency response, and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with physicians, coaches, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Conduct injury assessments, collect medical history, fit braces/equipment, and develop rehab plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR and create home exercise/rehabilitation programs.
• Provide on-site coverage for high school athletic events.
• Lead wellness and injury prevention education for the community.
• Monitor patient progress, outcomes, and report to the rehabilitation manager.

Requirements:

• Active Michigan License (must be valid at submission).
• Minimum 2 years of Sports Medicine experience.
• BLS (AHA) Certification.
