Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, highly detailed, and operationally rigorousChief Executive Officer (CEO)to lead the next phase of growth and scale. This role is ideal for an experienced EdTech or SaaS leader with a passion for culture-building, education, and high-growth execution. The CEO will be responsible for expanding the app's impact, driving innovation, and building a strong foundation for long-term success.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-traction EdTech product at a pivotal moment. The CEO will assume full responsibility for the company's strategic direction, operations, product roadmap, financial health, fundraising, team building, and market expansion. This leader must bring a unique combination ofvisionary leadership and micro-level execution, capable of guiding the company from startup to scale while maintaining the product's integrity and positive impact in schools.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute a compelling long-term vision for company growth and impact.
  • Align team, product, and financial goals with market opportunity and customer needs.
  • Set and manage strategic goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.

Organizational and Operational Excellence

  • Establish a high-performing leadership team across core departments, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success.
  • Create and enforce operational cadence through weekly reviews, performance dashboards, OKRs, and sprint planning.
  • Maintain close oversight of budget, timelines, staffing, vendor relationships, and product delivery.

Product and Technical Oversight

  • Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap in coordination with technical leads.
  • Ensure application stability, scalability, and responsiveness, particularly during peak usage periods.
  • Oversee quality assurance, performance monitoring systems, and platform architecture.

Data and Analytics Infrastructure

  • Build systems to monitor and report key user and financial metrics (e.g., MAU, DAU, churn, LTV).
  • Implement A/B testing, cohort analysis, and user behavior insights to drive product and marketing decisions.

Security and Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with student data protection regulations, including COPPA, FERPA, and GDPR.
  • Implement security protocols for communication features and user data encryption.

Customer Experience and Success

  • Build and lead a customer success team focused on onboarding, training, and long-term retention.
  • Leverage in-app features like school feeds and two-way messaging to deepen user engagement.
  • Respond to customer feedback and usage trends to proactively reduce churn and increase satisfaction.

Sales, Partnerships, and Channel Growth

  • Develop and execute sales and partnership strategies to expand adoption at the district and consortium levels.
  • Establish reseller networks and strategic alliances with EdTech integrators.
  • Evaluate and optimize pricing models for classroom, school, and district-wide implementations.

Financial Strategy and Capital Planning

  • Build and manage detailed financial models to support business growth and investor readiness.
  • Lead capital-raising efforts, including the preparation of pitch materials, financial disclosures, and investor relations.
  • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and ongoing fiscal performance.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven success as a CEO or senior executive in a SaaS startup, with experience in scaling operations, managing investor relations, and driving product innovation.
  • Deep familiarity with SaaS financial modeling, KPI management, and strategic planning.
  • Experience leading or working closely with EdTech companies or education stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational oversight.
  • Demonstrated commitment to education, equity, and improving student outcomes through technology.
