Maintains a clean and healthy work environment. Safely operates all machinery used in the decontamination and, sterilization areas in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Assembles all instrumentation for sterilization according to policy and procedure and monitors quality assurance. Maintains adequate supply levels of sterile stock for the sterile storage/case cart assembly area. Applies principles of rotation of stock, par level restocking and outdating of supplies. Communicates concerns about equipment with Operating Room nurses responsible for specialty areas.
