Central Sterile Processing Supervisor - K.A. Recruiting : Job Details

Location: Swanton, VT Schedule: Full-Time Compensation: $28 - $36.10 per hour + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Department in Swanton, VT. In this role, you will supervise a team of 5 direct reports, including a mix of full-time and per diem Sterile Processing Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with leadership skills and a passion for ensuring the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in healthcare.

• Supervise and mentor a team of 5 Sterile Processing Technicians and 1 per diem Sterile Tech
• Oversee the sterilization, cleaning, and decontamination processes for all surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Train and educate staff on proper sterile techniques, equipment usage, and departmental procedures
• Manage the daily scheduling of staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workflow
• Perform quality control checks to ensure all processes meet established safety and sterilization standards
• Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as needed, and ensuring proper handling of sterile goods
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the availability of properly sterilized instruments and equipment

Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Certification in Sterile Processing (CSPDT or CRCST) preferred Required: At least 2 years of experience in sterile processing with leadership experience (supervisory or training) Strong understanding of sterilization procedures, safety protocols, and infection control Excellent communication and team management skills Ability to make decisions under pressure and troubleshoot issues as they arise Preferred: Experience supervising a team in a sterile processing environment
