More about our teamThe department is staffed with 2-3 monitor techs 24/7. The Monitor Techs analyze, decipher, and create strips of each patient’s rhythm upon admission and throughout their hospital stay. Immediate detection of lethal dysrhythmias is communicated through a dedicated emergency phone located at each nurse’s station. How you’ll contributeA Central Monitor Technician (CMT) who excels in this role: ·Obtains information from the nursing staff that properly identifies the patient, confirms and reads back the information to the nursing staff.oPatient’s nameoPatient’s diagnosisoRoom numberoCSN number (Contact Serial Number)oPacemaker (yes or no)·Enters patient information into the system and checks alarms.·Identifies proper method to place monitor leads on patients and troubleshoots with nursing staff to help correct lead placement issues.·Observes the telemetry monitors for early detection of dysrhythmia. Identifies, interprets and sends the documented rhythm reports, via pneumatic tube or fax to the appropriate nursing unit.·Maintains open lines of communication with the RN’s regarding patient rhythm statusWhy join usWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
