The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) is responsible for the management of 23 prison facilities and the division of Adult Parole with oversight of 21,000 offenders housed in state and private facilities or on parole. As a large state agency, with an annual budget of over $900 million, success is achieved through mission focused collaboration. The Colorado State Board of Parole is an integral part of the Criminal Justice System and the CDOC. The Parole Board conducts approximately 27,000 statewide and interstate parole hearings each year in order to make decisions regarding application, revocation, and rescission hearings of eligible offenders.
