Chestnut Ridge Transportation Is Hiring Local Class BPS & CPS CDL Drivers to Drive School Buses & School Van In The Rockland, NY Area

We Have Locations In Spring Valley, NY, Chestnut Ridge, NY, & Hillburn, NY

(Must Be Will To Commute To One of These Locations To Be Considered)

Starting Pay Up To $28.15 Per Hour- Sign On Bonus- Guaranteed 30 Hours Per Week

Valid Class CPS or BPS CDL License REQUIRED

Passenger & School Bus Endorsements REQUIRED

Must Have A Valid NYS Drivers License For Three Years Or More

Must Have A Clean Motor Vehicle Record

Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age

  • Bus Class BPS CDL Drivers: $28.15 Per Hour

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive's school bus for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes to and from school and/or field trips in a safe and timely manner.
• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior for the purpose of reinforcing established guidelines and maintaining passenger safety.
• Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations (e.g. road hazards, medical emergencies, accidents, etc.) for the purpose of resolving and/or recommending a resolution to the situation.
• Assists students and other passengers for the purpose of providing safe loading and unloading from buses during normal transport and emergency situations.
• Monitors students and other passengers during transit for the purpose of ensuring the safe transportation of all passengers.
