Role: CDL Class B - Route Food Delivery DriverLocation: Brooklyn, NY. (Sunset Park)Schedule: Monday through Saturday (flexible) / 6:00 AM until completionPay: $25.00 + OT ($37.50/hr) Afternoon shifts available Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K when going full timeSeeking highly motivated Truck Drivers with CDL Class B license or higher to assist in picking up and delivering food across the five boroughs to and from our Warehouse Facility in Brooklyn.

Core Responsibilities:- Deliver products safely and on time, adhering to safe food-handling practices.- Possess knowledge of the five boroughs' streets.- Operate trucks safely and in compliance with motor vehicle laws.- Complete all assignments on the route, accept overtime and special assignments when necessary, and comply with attendance policy.- Communicate route information to the Manager (Food Transport) and Food Transport management (especially regarding events that could affect pick-up, delivery, or route completion).- Comply with instructions and ensure that all communications with dispatch are constructive and professional.- Collect signatures on invoices, complete trip reports, logbooks, and other required paperwork.- Ensure that all paperwork is neat, legible, accurate, and timely.- Complete pre/post-trip inspections in compliance with company policy.- Maintain the required licenses necessary to perform your job legally.- Gain an understanding of all basic transportation functions.- Be able to operate a pump jack or electric pallet jack.Education and Experience:- A valid CDL Class B driver's license with a good driving record and an updated DOT card is required.- At least one (1) or more years of commercial driving experience is necessary.- No serious moving violations within the last 36 months.- No preventable DOT accidents within the last 12 months.- Must be registered with the Clearing House.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Strong customer service and good communication skills.- Working knowledge of roadways within and between the five boroughs.
