Other benefits include employer pension matching, shift differential, incentive/premium pay, free annual biometric screening and paid volunteer time off.RiverView is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.ResponsibilitiesPosition: Chemical Dependency CounselorSchedule: Full-Time (1.0 fte) - 80 hours per pay periodRecovery Center hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMPay Range: $27.77 - $38.88 (D.O.E - dependent upon experience)Job Status: Exempt, benefitted positionRiverView Recovery Center has a full-time (80-hours per pay period) opening for a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), who will mainly work in our Crookston and East Grand Forks offices, however some travel to the Thief River Falls office may be required . Counselor will be responsible for a range of clinical services, including, but not limited to: Facilitation of Group Counseling; Facilitation of Individual Counseling; Chemical Health Assessments (Comprehensive Assessment); Crisis Management; Family Counseling and Case Management.QualificationsRequired:* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Dependency, Addiction Studies, or an equivalent human services field (e.g., Social Work with an emphasis in Addiction Studies).* Must possess or be eligible to obtain Licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.* Active ADC-T permit from the Board of Behavioral Health may be considered* Must maintain a current and valid LADC license with bi-annual renewal.* If the candidate has a personal history of substance use disorder, they must be free from chemical use problems for at least 2 years.* Must have completed a minimum 12-hour training in co-occurring disorders, or be willing to complete this training within 6 months of hire (per MN Statute 245G.13).* Must pass background and required state licensing checks.Preferred:* Completion and certification in Trauma-Informed Care (or willingness to complete within 6 months of employment).* Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards in behavioral health settings.* Prior experience in residential or outpatient chemical dependency treatment settings.
