OPPORTUNITY SUMMARYThe Catering Service Assistant is assigned to assist the CIA Catering department on all aspects of service for assigned stations during banquet/catering functions on campus. The Catering Service Assistant will be assigned to help with event setup/breakdown and provide services to VIP guests, the general public and other CIA internal departments.SHIFT

• Shift Available: Varies AM & PM Weekdays/Weekends, depending on events scheduled for the semester.

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setting patron and buffet tables.
• Assist in the replenishment of buffet food and beverage service.
• Assist in the service of food and beverage for plated dinners and banquets.
• Assist in facilitating a smooth and efficient setup and breakdown of events.
• All other duties as assigned.

PREREQUISITES

• None

PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES

• Background in catering, high volume or fine dining restaurant establishment.
• Serve-safe certified or equivalent

Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
