Catering Associate-PT 20 hours per week - MercyOne : Job Details

Under limited supervision, is responsible for utilizing the principles of nutrition, preparing patient trays for all diets, delivery and pickup of trays, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery and dish/pot washing. Communicates with co-workers and coordinator. Duties:Communicates any patient related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel, in a timely manner following departmental procedures. Utilizes nutrition principles to prepare and assemble appropriate patient trays according to patient's menu on tray ticket in a timely and accurate manner. Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are meant within guidelines of diet order. Informs dietitian with monitoring of patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, have a calorie count ordered or special requests. Interacts with Nursing to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate, and patients' food needs are met.
