We seek out innovation across our entire business and pass that knowledge and expertise to our customers.As a Category Sourcing Specialist, youwill be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships for raw materials and other components critical to the production of dietary supplements and nutraceutical products. This role ensures that the company secures the best possible cost, quality, and service levels from suppliers while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company standards. The specialist will work cross-functionally with procurement, quality assurance, regulatory, and production teams to optimize supply chain operations.How Will You ContributeTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Develop and implement category sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to optimize cost savings and supplier performance.
• Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and production teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions, including developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sourcing documentation, supplier records, and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, certifications, and industry standards, including FDA, cGMP, and other relevant guidelines.
• Utilize sourcing tools, databases, and ERP systems to track procurement activities and generate reports.
• Assist in supplier audits and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
• Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate;
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field a plus
• Packaging and IMS (Indirect Material Spend) experience a plus
• Three (3) + years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably in the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industries.
• Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment

Together We Grow! This position is currently classified as on-site.Base Salary Range: $74,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year, based on candidate professional experience level.
