Job Location : Long Island City,NY, USA
Division/Program Summary Description: The CATCH Program offers in-school pregnancy tests, emergency contraception, hormonal contraception, referrals for reproductive health care as needed, and age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health education. The CATCH program is currently operating on 57 high school campuses. The schools hosting the CATCH sites are low income, communities of color, which have historically suffered worse health outcomes compared to NYC as a whole. We also know that these neighborhoods were also the hardest hit by the pandemic. In order to ensure that these schools/communities continue to receive high quality sexual and reproductive health education, the Adolescent Health Unit/OSH is seeking to hire 12 CATCH Public Health Advisors to assist clinicians during medical sessions, help maintain medications, health records, and educational materials, as well as actively promote the CATCH program throughout the school community.
