*Cashier and Grill Attendant **Department:* Food and Beverage*Reports to:* F&B Manager and Executive Chef*General Purpose:*This is a position that entails cashiering and grilling hot food as well as prepping cold sandwiches, and selling and making Alcoholic Beverages. Persons in this position are responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the day. Persons in this position must follow all food safety and service standards. This person, at all times, assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service, as well as the cleanliness and appearance of their work space. MUST BE OF LEGAL AGE TO SELL AND POUR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.*Job Duties:** Handle cash or other type of payment accurately and efficiently.* Take, prepare and serve orders as requested by guests and employees.* Take guest and employee orders and enter the orders correctly into the POS (point-of-sales) terminal.* Season, prepare and cook food according to recipes; breakfast items and cold sandwiches.* Prepare food on an outdoor grill; burgers, hotdogs, and hot sandwiches* Prepare and cook Pizza using outdoor Oven.* Prepare an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, serving alcoholic drinks to those 21 years old or older. Always asking for proof of age.* Clean grill by scrubbing off remaining food and washing the general area.* Clear and clean counter and front tables.* Maintain and re-stock condiments and supplies.* Comply with all Health Department food handling & sanitation.* Perform all opening and closing duties & side work as required.* Prepare outdoor tables according to dept. practice & procedure.* Clean out, rinse, and fill sinks properly (soap, rinse, sanitizer).* Sweep under and around patio tables and chairs.* Clean window and doors.* Restocking all inventory items.* Maintain knowledge of menu items.* Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.* Acknowledge all customers, employees and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.* Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions.* Basic PC Knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment.* Good Communication skills with upper management* Works well with the general public* Proven record of exceeding guest's expectations.* Follows directions and all safety standards.* Perform other duties as assigned.* *Must be 21 years of age or older to sell and serve alcohol** *Must be RBS Certified at time of hire** *Must have flexible and open schedule to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.*This is not a complete list of job duties or requirements.*Education/Experience: *Some high school/college education preferred; and 1-2 years recent verifiable experience working in a restaurant or training in related field.*Language Skills: *Ability to read and speak English in order to perform the duties of the job. May be required to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and fellow Staff.*Mathematical Skills: *Basic math skills required.*Reasoning Ability: *Problem-solving, reasoning, and “thinking out of the box” will be a constant requirement; in addition, applying common sense understanding better serve our guests' needs – both our internal and external guests.*Physical Demands: *Frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, feel or handle talks or hear. Long hours spent on feet. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.*Vision Requirements: *Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.*Environment/Noise:* Often works in areas with both hot and cold surfaces, as well as working in wet areas. Often works in areas with moving mechanical parts; may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
